At Yoga and Food For You, our goal is to take a preventative and proactive approach to personal health care and address issues before they develop into major health problems. The hope is that the effects will be widespread: lower heart rate and blood pressure, calmness, clarity, less anger, and a more positive mindset.

I personally got interested in yoga as a way to reduce stress. I started with just the physical exercises but then started examining the diet choices, breathing exercises, and other tenets of yoga. After personally cultivating some new habits, I also incorporated some of these changes into our household, and we have seen very postive results.

Based on these personal experiences, I thought it would be a good idea to put together some basic yoga postures, breathing techniques, and healthy vegetarian recipes together into a DVD people of all ages could enjoy.

We also feel strongly about giving back to the community and in the spirit of that, a portion of the profits will be given to the Worldwide Fistula Fund (Dr. Lewis Wall in West Africa - www.wfmic.org) and to MettaJourneys (www.mettajourneys.com).
